My recent stay at The Walnut Tree Inn was a mix of pleasant experiences and some drawbacks. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making me feel at home. However, noise from the nearby railway line disturbed my sleep a bit too much for comfort. Overall, a solid visit but with room for improvement.

Rooms
5.0
I stayed in a superior double room, which was spacious and clean, yet a bit dated. The noise from the trains was quite disruptive, waking me up early in the morning, and I think some attention to detail in cleanliness would enhance the experience.
Service
6.0
The staff were exceptionally friendly and warm, though at times they seemed a little untrained. I appreciated the effort they put into making my stay enjoyable.
Location
6.0
The inn is situated in a lovely area, though the proximity to the main railway line was a downside for me. Still, the village setting was charming and full of interest.
Dining
6.0
Dining facilities were good, with a cooked breakfast served to order. However, the restaurant's limited menu might need improvement. but the homemade cakes were a highlight!
Facilities
5.0
While the bar and dining areas were pleasant, the lack of information in the room about services and local attractions was disappointing. A little more attention to details could improve the experience.

My stay at The Walnut Tree Inn was pleasant overall. The food, particularly the Walnut Tree Burger and dessert, was delicious and served promptly. However, the noise from the nearby train line made it difficult to sleep at times, especially with high-speed trains passing frequently. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which really enhanced the experience.

Rooms

My room was basic but clean and functional. It had a good shower, although it could benefit from some darkening curtains to block out excess light.
Service
8.0
Service from the staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was served quickly and with care, making for a pleasant dining experience.
Location
6.0
The inn is conveniently located outside of Blisworth and only a short drive from Silverstone. However, being next to the main railway line means you can hear trains quite frequently.
Dining
8.0
The food was good, and the dining area had a nice atmosphere. The Walnut Tree Burger and the desserts were particularly enjoyable.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities were sufficient for my stay. The room's amenities were adequate, but I did notice some minor issues like the need for more toiletries.

I had a mixed experience at The Walnut Tree Inn. While the breakfast was truly good and the dinner had some highlights, such as a fantastic starter, the main course was disappointing and felt like leftovers. The room was cramped and overlooked a busy railway line, which made for a noisy night. Overall, it provided basic accommodations, but it certainly has room for improvement.

Rooms
6.0
My superior room felt quite inadequate, being narrow and having an ordinary double bed instead of a king. The bathroom lacked ventilation, and I was greeted by a noisy toilet cistern. Even the decor felt outdated.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and attentive, which I appreciated, especially during breakfast and dinner. However, the service during checkout could have been more organized.
Location
6.0
The inn's location is convenient if you're heading to Silverstone, but it's definitely in a remote area, requiring a car to get around. Notably, it's opposite a busy railway line, so be prepared for some noise.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast was excellent, with a well-cooked full English and a friendly service. However, the dinner was hit or miss, with a stellar starter but an underwhelming main course that left me disappointed.
Facilities
5.0
Housekeeping could improve; I found only half a roll of toilet paper and no spare. The car park also had noticeable potholes which made for an unattractive arrival.

I had a good stay at The Walnut Tree Inn. The location is central and easy to find, though being close to the railway line meant it was a bit noisy at night. The accommodations were cozy and well-appointed, and the meals were really good. However, the trains did disrupt the quiet I expected during the night.

Rooms
8.0
I stayed in a well-maintained room with a comfy bed and a lovely shower. Though I was initially near the train track, my request for a quieter room was accommodated smoothly.
Service
10.0
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay, making me feel very welcome from check-in to check-out.
Location
8.0
The location is fantastic, right by the Grand Union Canal—it really fit my interests. However, as it's near a railway line, it was a bit noisy at times.
Dining
9.0
Dinner and breakfast were highlights of my stay. I had an amazing walnut tree burger and triple fried chips for dinner, and enjoyed a diverse breakfast spread that didn't disappoint.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel featured modern decor and a lovely beer garden. However, the potential train noise and some room issues suggest a bit more polish could enhance the experience further.

My stay at The Walnut Tree Inn was a mixed bag. The cleanliness and friendly staff stood out, making me feel welcomed. However, the noise from the nearby railway was quite disruptive, especially in the early morning hours. It was decent for a budget stay but definitely had its drawbacks.

Rooms
6.0
The room was compact and clean, but quite small compared to chain hotels, with the bed pushed against the wall. I did experience some noise issues, especially from the breakfast room above me and the trains outside.
Service
8.0
The staff were super polite and friendly, making my stay pleasant despite other issues. Their attentiveness during breakfast made for a relaxing start to my day.
Location
6.0
Being so close to the railway line made it convenient but also pretty noisy at times. It’s ideal for quick access to Silverstone and the area around Northampton, but the train sounds were a drawback.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was quite nice and well-prepared, but I didn’t get to sample too much else. My experience at dinner wasn’t as great, as I found the tapas menu lacking in quality compared to what I expected.
Facilities
6.0
The overall facilities were okay, with a decent bar area and dining setup. However, I think the noise problem and the lack of signal on the TV could be improved.
